King's Trail (Lapland)

Good products to take with you on a hike

  • Hiking boots or shoes – Choose a pair that are well-worn, waterproof, and adapted to the terrain.
  • Backpack with a good carrying system – 20–50 liters depending on the length of the trip. Pack smartly and in a balanced way.
  • Weather-appropriate clothing – Think layers. A windbreaker and rain gear are a must.
  • Water bottle or hydration system – Maintaining fluid balance is key.
  • Map, compass or GPS – Even on marked trails, it is safe to be able to navigate yourself.
  • Snacks and energy foods – Nuts, dried fruit, energy bars or freeze-dried meals.
  • First aid kit – Band-aids, abrasion plasters, sports tape and any medications.
  • Seat pad and headlamp – Great for breaks and essential when darkness falls.
